INVESTIGATION LEADS TO SEIZURE OF DRUGS AND ONE ARREST

(HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with trafficking drugs in the Haliburton Highlands area.
Members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment, with assistance from the Central Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), began a lengthy investigation into reports of drug trafficking in the Minden and Haliburton area.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, officers located and arrested Ryan WILLIS, 40 years-of-age, of Haliburton, and charged him with these following offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - three counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis in open baggage
- Possession of over 30 grams dried cannabis in a public place
During this investigation, officers recovered and seized:
- 2 cellular devices
- Digital scales
- 70 grams of cannabis
- 30.5 grams of crystal meth
- 30.8 grams of cocaine
- 9 Percocet pills
- $195 Canadian currency
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden at a later date.
