DELIVERY DRIVER CHARGED AFTER COMMITTING LEWD ACT

(OTTAWA, ON) - Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges against an individual from Ottawa after they were observed performing a lewd act while making a delivery at Fitzroy Provincial Park.
Shortly before 1:30 pm on May 28, 2026 OPP received a complaint from the park warden at Fitzroy Provincial Park about a delivery driver that was observed performing a lewd act, while making a delivery. The individual was observed masturbating for several seconds, while staring at one of the park employees. When the female employee noticed what the individual was doing, she went to look for help. She then heard a loud noise and observed the van driving off at a high rate of speed and crash through the front gate of the park. On June 2, the same individual returned to the park to make another delivery. On June 5, 2026, the driver was arrested by police.
As a result, Mandeep SINGH, 31 years of age, faces the following charges:
- Indecent act - public place
- Careless driving
The accused is set to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.
