ONE PERSON DECEASED AFTER SNOWMOBILE AND PICK-UP COLLIDE

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) - A collision involving a snowmobile and pick-up truck in Loyalist Township has left one person deceased.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, around 3:15 pm, members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene on County Road 5, between County Road 4 and Newburgh Road.
A snowmobile had collided with a pick-up truck on the roadway.
The rider of the snowmobile, identified as a 61-year-old woman from Kingston, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the truck were not hurt.
The investigation by Lennox and Addington County OPP, with the assistance of a Technical Collision Investigation officer and Collision Reconstructionist from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, is continuing.
