(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

On Monday, December 8, 2025, shortly after 6:00 pm, the South Porcupine OPP with the assistance of Timmins Police Service, responded to a collision at the intersection of Highway 655 and Ross Avenue East, in Timmins.

A 79-year-old person was transported to hospital by ambulance where they later died.

The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E) team.

The intersection remained closed for several hours.
