UPDATE – LONDON, ON (July 20, 2026) – The investigation into the Dundas Street fire has been reassigned to members of the LPS Major Crime Section, who continue to work alongside the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
One of the victims, a 29-year-old London woman, has succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The damage has been estimated at $500,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
ORIGINAL - LONDON, ON (July 17, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service, along with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office, are investigating a residential fire that took place this morning on Dundas Street.
On Friday, July 17, 2026, at approximately 9:45 am, emergency crews responded to the 700-block of Dundas Street in relation to a working fire at a multi-dwelling residence.
Three people were transported to hospital by paramedic services with critical injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Dundas Street is currently closed between Lyle and Rectory streets.
The investigation is in its early stages, and more information will be provided as appropriate.
