MALE ARRESTED AFTER BRINGING GUN TO DOWNTOWN ESTABLISHMENT
Loaded firearm seized
LONDON, ON (January 23, 2026) – A London man is facing charges after uttering threats and showing a handgun to a patron of a downtown establishment last weekend.
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at approximately 2 am, a suspect male was inside a bar in the 700-block of Richmond Street when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another male. The suspect displayed a handgun to the victim, and uttered threats of death.
A physical altercation ensued, and employees of the establishment intervened.
Several London police officers responded to the area and the suspect was located a short distance away. The suspect resisted officers during the arrest.
A search yielded a loaded handgun.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the male suspect had been released from custody on December 11, 2024, under specific conditions, including a prohibition against possessing any weapons.
The investigation was reassigned to members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section.
As a result of the investigation, Kasen Grewal, 21, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Uttering threats of death or bodily harm
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device of ammunition
- Carry concealed weapon
- Fail to comply with release order
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence
- Resist arrest
The accused appeared in London court on January 19, 2026, in relation to the charges.
