(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP, ON) - A traffic stop in Central Frontenac Township has resulted in impaired driving charges.

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, shortly after 12:45 pm, an officer with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Road 38 in Central Frontenac Township when they observed a pickup truck towing another pickup truck on a utility trailer. The officer noted that one of the trailer’s tires appeared to be flat and conducted a traffic stop to advise the driver of the safety concern.

During the traffic stop, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Donald FRASER, 70 years old, of Colchester, Vermont, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
