(WHITBY, ON) - A 24-year-old male has been pronounced deceased following a single-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle.
On Sunday, June 14, 2026, shortly after 4:00 am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division - Toronto Detachment attended the scene of a collision on Highway 401 and Highway 412 in Whitby.
The passenger was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased, while the driver was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 412 southbound remains closed at Dundas Street West due to an ongoing investigation.
