SIU INVOKES MANDATE IN SOUTH GLENGARRY

(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) - The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following a police response in the Township of South Glengarry.
On Thursday, June 4, 2026, shortly before 2:00 am, officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a person in distress in South Glengarry.
Officers located the individual and took them into custody before transporting them to hospital. The OPP was later advised the individual had suffered a non-life-threatening injury during the interaction.
