Barricaded Person - 46-year-old Man Arrested and Charged

Shortly after 11:00 pm on January 24, 2025, officers attended a residence on Falconbridge Hwy in Garson in relation to an altercation resulting in a barricaded person. Due to the heavy police presence, some area roads were closed for safety.
Members of the Emergency Response Unit, K9 Unit and Negotiators attended the scene. At 6:05 am on January 25, 2025, a 46-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and was charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Assault with a Weapon
- Uttering Threats
- Mischief
He attended bail court on January 25, 2025, to answer to the charges.
This was an isolated incident. There is no risk to public safety.
