Officers investigating stabbing on Cedar Street

Just before 3:25 pm on June 14, 2026, officers were dispatched to Cedar Street in relation to a weapons complaint. Information provided was that an individual had sustained multiple stab wounds and required immediate medical attention.
Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old, man who had sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital by Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services.
Based on the investigation, it has been determined that the incident occurred in the area of Cedar Street at Young Street and involved one unidentified individual (images attached). The person responsible for the attack fled the area prior to police arrival.
This is believed to be a targeted incident.
