Fatal Collision on Skead Road Claims Life of 45-year old man

Just before 9:00 pm on Friday, August 16th, 2024, Officers were dispatched to Skead Road in relation to a single vehicle collision involving a pick-up truck.
City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic and Fire Services responded to the scene and began life-saving measures on the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver was transported to hospital with critical injuries.
Unfortunately, the 45-year old man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Based on the investigation, it was determined that the pick-up truck was being driven northbound on Skead Road when it collided with the guardrails and travelled into an embankment, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.
