SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN TWO SEIZED FIREARMS, TWO ARRESTED

(BROCKTON, ON) - A search warrant executed in the Municipality of Brockton resulted in the seizure of two firearms. Two individuals from Brockton have been charged.
An investigation initiated by members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crimes Unit (MCU) and Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Brockton. Officers from the Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and West Region Canine assisted with the investigation.
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, a search warrant was executed at an address on Bruce Road 15 in the Municipality of Brockton and resulted in the seizure of two firearms along with five imitation firearms. A quantity of ammunition was also seized at the time.
Jason CONNELLY, 43 years old from Brockton, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Careless Storage of a Firearm - two counts
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
- Failure to comply with release order - two counts
The accused was arrested, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a later court date scheduled for July 22, 2026 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
Bailey BISSONNETTE, 25 years old from Brockton, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Careless Storage of a Firearm - two counts
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm- two counts
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
The accused was arrested and later released with a court date of August 5th,2026 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
