SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) - A report of a suspicious vehicle leads to impaired charges.
On Saturday April 30, 2026, at approximately 9:20 pm the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Highway 11 in Kenogami. Police located the vehicle travelling on Highway 11 and a traffic stop was conducted. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined that the driver was under the influence of drugs or substances. The accused was arrested and transported to the Temiskaming detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Ahmed HAGONA, a 43-year-old of Mississauga, has been charged with, Operation while impaired - drugs.
The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on July 9, 2026.
