Second Individual Arrested
(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) - A second individual has been arrested for first degree murder in connection with a homicide investigation in Clarence-Rockland.
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm, officers from the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a body discovered in the Ottawa River, near Dallaire Street.
The postmortem examination identified the deceased as Robert PREVOST, 63 years old of Clarence-Rockland, who was reported missing in early March 2025. He was last seen at his home on Laurier Street in early February 2025. His death was ruled a homicide.
On Thursday, June 4, 2026, one individual was arrested and charged with first degree murder and indignity to a body.
Following further investigation, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Jessica ST. MICHAEL, 37 years old of Ottawa, was arrested with the assistance of the Gatineau Police Service and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- First degree murder, s. 235(1)
- Indignity to a body, s. 182(b)
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Friday, June 12, 2026.
