-UPDATE #7- OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL SHOOTING IN THE TOWN OF RENFREW

Billboard Seeking the Public’s Assistance Installed

(RENFREW, ON) - As the investigation into a Renfrew County homicide enters its third year, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has installed a billboard seeking information from the public that could help identify those responsible.

On Friday, May 19, 2023, at approximately 10:30 pm, 41-year-old Jonathan LOGAN was fatally shot inside a residence on Vimy Boulevard in Renfrew. The person responsible fled the area prior to police arrival and remains unidentified.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and are confident that information from the public could assist in identifying those responsible and advancing the investigation.

As part of ongoing efforts to generate new leads, the OPP released a video in May 2026 featuring a personal appeal from Jonathan’s mother, urging anyone with information to come forward. Two months later, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the OPP announced a $50,000 reward, offered by the Government of Ontario, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for Jonathan LOGAN’s death.

A new billboard featuring Jonathan’s photo has been installed on the south side of Highway 60 at Innovation Drive facing north in the Town of Renfrew as part of an ongoing appeal for public information. to this release.

“The installation of this billboard marks another step in our commitment to find answers for Jonathan’s family, his friends and the Renfrew community. The public deserves to see those responsible for this violent crime held accountable. We are confident that someone in the community has information that will solve this case. Now is the time to come forward.”
