DRIVER TRAVELLING OVER DOUBLE THE SPEED LIMIT ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED

(ESSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic stop for speeding.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, shortly before 11:30 pm, an officer of the Nottawasaga OPP was conducting speed enforcement on Mill Street in Angus and stopped a vehicle travelling at 146km/h in a 60 km/h zone, with no headlights on. During the traffic stop, the officer noted signs of impairment and began investigating.
As a result of the investigation, the officer arrested the driver for impaired operation.
The driver, Andrew MOSHER, a 28 year old, of Barrie, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused party was released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford to answer to the charges.
