IMPAIRED DRIVING ARREST FOLLOWING VEHICLE COLLISION

(ESSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision.
On Friday, January 30, 2026, shortly after 3:30 am, officers of the Nottawasaga OPP while out on patrol, drove upon a two-vehicle collision. While investigating the collision officers detected signs of impairment from one of the drivers.
As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired operation.
The driver, Gavin KELLY, 34 years old, of Essa Township, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused party was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford to answer to the charges.
