Public Appeal Renewed on One-Year Anniversary
(INNISFIL, ON) - On the one-year anniversary of a fatal fail-to-remain collision in the Town of Innisfil, investigators continue to seek answers with a renewed appeal for information.
On Sunday, July 13, 2025, shortly after 3:00 am, the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a deceased female located on the shoulder of Highway 89 near 5th Side Road. The deceased was identified as Jessica FOLLETT, 35 years old from Richmond Hill.
The investigation revealed that the victim had been walking along Highway 89 when she was struck by an eastbound blue passenger vehicle shortly after 2:00 am The driver failed to remain at the scene.
Investigators believe a white sport utility vehicle was travelling closely behind the suspect vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver may be an important witness and is urged to contact police.
