Additional Arrest and Charges Laid
(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment Major Crime Unit (MCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Hawkesbury OPP and Laval Police have charged a 7th individual in relation to an arson investigation.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Laval, Quebec, where the accused was arrested in relation to an investigation that began in the fall of 2024 after multiple unoccupied homes in new subdivisions in Adjala-Tosorontio were set on fire.
As a result, the 7th accused, Ramin LAZAR, a 34 year old of Laval, Quebec, has been charged with:
- Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
- Arson
The accused party was released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on July 2nd, 2026 to answer to the charges.
