IMPAIRED DRIVER SLEEPING AT WHEEL IN LIVE LANE OF TRAFFIC ARRESTED

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint involving a driver who was found asleep at the wheel.
On July 4, 2026, shortly after 10:00 am, the Nottawasaga OPP received a report of a driver stopped and asleep at the wheel at the intersection of Young Street and Industrial Parkway in Alliston. Officers arrived on scene, detected an odour of cannabis and initiated an impaired driving investigation.
As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested and charged.
Khadeen CLARKE-REYNOLDS, 32 years old, of Alliston, has been charged with :
- Operation while impaired - drugs
- Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a future date to answer to the charges.
In addition, the accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
