FOUR INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP - FIREARM AND DRUGS SEIZED

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) - The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged four individuals following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
On June 7, 2026, at approximately 8:36 pm, members of the Grey Bruce OPP were conducting proactive patrols in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
While patrolling Margaret Elizabeth Avenue, an officer’s Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) camera alerted to a vehicle indicating a Highway Traffic Act offence. A traffic stop was initiated. During the investigation, the officer detected an odour of cannabis, leading to an investigation under the Cannabis Control Act.
As a result of the investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm pistol. Police also seized approximately 36 grams of suspected cocaine and approximately 37 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Four individuals were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code (CC), Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA):

All accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 8, 2026, before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
