MOTORISTS CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(Hawkesbury, ON) - Members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one person for impaired driving charges.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 4:45 am, officers were conducting an investigation when they were advised of a vehicle potentially involved. A short time later, officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, Nicholas ROCK, 30 years old of Alfred-Plantagenet Township has been charged with the following offences.
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving while under suspension - two counts
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
- Fail to have insurance card
- Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
