(MALAHIDE, ON) - Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision in the Township of Malahide.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, shortly before 11:30 am, members of the Elgin County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Malahide Fire Services and emergency medical services responded to a collision between a commercial motor vehicle and passenger vehicle at the intersection of Imperial Road and College Line.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the commercial vehicle did not report injuries at the scene.
Imperial Road between Ron McNeil Line and Glencolin Line, and College Line between Rogers Road and Hacienda Road, which had been closed to facilitate the investigation, have been reopened.
