ATV DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION

(SHUNIAH, ON) - An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) ride has resulted in multiple charges following a tip from the public.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, members with the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report involving an individual operating an ATV while intoxicated. Officers attended a location in Shuniah where the individual was located.
As a result, shortly before 4:30 pm officers arrested and charged Robert PRICE, 68, of Shuniah with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while prohibited
- Driving while under suspension
In addition, the ATV was impounded for 45 days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
