IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED IN QUETICO COLLISION

(Quetico Provincial Park, ON) - The driver of a vehicle that crashed into the gate at Quetico Provincial Park was found to be impaired.
On June 14, 2026, at approximately 9:00 am, the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) got a 911 call from staff at Quetico Provincial Park reporting a collision in the main parking lot. A vehicle lost control and crashed into the gate and some trees deploying the vehicle air bags and causing a significant amount of damage to the vehicle. No one was injured in the collision.
Investigation at the scene determined that the driver of the vehicle was obviously impaired by alcohol. The driver was given a roadside screening device test which they failed. The driver was then arrested and transported to the Atikokan Detachment where additional breath testing was completed.
Adam Lamore, 30-years-old from Thunder Bay ON is charged with one count each of impaired operation alcohol or drug, impaired operation 80 milligrams alcohol or over, and drive vehicle with cannabis readily available.
The accused’s driver licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The accused was released by police and has a first appearance in Atikokan Court on October 29, 2026.
