Thunder Bay OPP Charge Aggressive Driver for Impaired in Construction Zone

THUNDER BAY OPP CHARGE AGGRESSIVE DRIVER FOR IMPAIRED IN CONSTRUCTION ZONE
(THUNDER BAY, ON) - Members of the Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged and aggressive driver for impaired operation in a construction zone.
On June 24, 2026, at 8:30pm the Thunder Bay OPP received multiple 911 calls about a possible impaired driver on Highway 61, in the construction zone south of the airport.
Thunder Bay OPP officers located the vehicle and stopped it. The driver showed obvious signs of impairment and was immediately arrested for impaired operation.
As a result of the investigation, Lawrence BRAY, 48 years old of Thunder Bay, was charged with:
- Impaired operation
- Dangerous operation
- Impaired Operation - blood alcohol concentration over 80
His license was immediately suspended for 90 days and his car impounded for 7 days.
The accused was released for a court date of August 19, 2026, in the Thunder Bay Ontario Court of Justice.
