CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING DISPUTE

(ELGIN, ON) - Two individuals have been charged with numerous criminal offences.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, shortly after 2:00 pm, members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a dispute at a residence in Elgin.
As a result of the investigation, Timothy PHILLIPS, 55 years old of Phillipsville, has been charged with:
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm - three counts
- Theft under $5,000 - two counts
- Assault
Monia JONES, 57 years old of Phillipsville, has been charged with:
- Theft under $5,000 - two counts
- Fail to comply with probation order
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on September 25, 2026.
