TWO IMPAIRED DRIVING INVESTIGATIONS IN UNDER FOUR HOURS

(LEEDS COUNTY, ON) - Two drivers have had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded following impaired driving investigations.
Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue proactive patrols and regularly respond to traffic complaints and collisions involving suspected impaired drivers. On June 17, 2026, the following drivers were arrested:
Shortly after 3:30 pm, an officer was conducting patrols on Highway 15 when they observed a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the driver, 53-year-old Jonathan VINCENT of Lyndhurst, was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville scheduled the next day. He has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
- Operation while prohibited
- Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
Shortly before 7:30 pm, a concerned citizen phoned police and reported the driver involved in a collision might have been impaired. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle was impounded for seven days and the driver, 44-year-old Louise MARSHALL of Stittsville, has been charged with Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration. She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on July 31, 2026.
