INVESTIGATION INTO ATV ROLL-OVER LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES

(GANANOQUE, ON) - A driver is facing impaired driving charges after being involved in a single-vehicle collision on a trail near County Road 2 and Robertson Road outside of Gananoque.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, shortly after 5:00 pm, members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a single all-terrain vehicle (ATV). A passenger was ejected and sustained serious injuries. They were transported to a regional trauma centre. The operator did not sustain any major injuries. The investigation revealed the operator’s blood alcohol concentration to be over three times the legal limit.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Paden BREWSTER of Gananoque has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - causing bodily harm
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on July 10, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
