Hamilton Police Charge 24-Year-Old in Child Luring and Sexual Assault Investigation

Following an investigation by the Hamilton Police Service Sex Crimes Unit, Joshua KING MCREA, 24, was arrested on July 10, 2026, and charged with:
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference
- Luring a Child Under the Age of 16
Joshua KING MCREA is described as a Black male, 24 years of age, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing 132 lbs., with a thin build and black hair.
Investigators believe the accused used social media platforms to communicate with and meet young people. Police recognize that some individuals may not realize they have been the victim of a criminal offence. Anyone who had online contact with the accused while under the age of consent, including those who shared images or communicated with him, is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Police Service Sex Crimes Unit.
The incidents under investigation are alleged to have occurred between 2024 and 2026. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and encourage anyone with information related to this investigation to come forward.
