Hamilton Police Investigating Late Night Shooting

Hamilton Police are investigating a late night shooting at a residence on Elodia Court in Hamilton. This is the second firearm-related incident in the area in the last four days.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 3:16 am, Hamilton Police responded to the area of Elodia Court after a witness reported a suspicious vehicle stopped in the neighbourhood. Officers arrived a short time later and located a grey Honda parked on Elodia Court with its lights off. Following a brief pursuit, the suspect was arrested and officers seized a loaded Glock handgun.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at approximately 11:57 pm, Hamilton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at a residence on Elodia Court. When officers arrived, they located shell casings outside the residence and multiple bullet holes in the garage door.
There have also been three other incidents in the area targeted to the same address on Elodia Court. Police have remained in contact with the occupants of the targeted residence, who have been cooperative with investigators.
Hamilton Police will have a visible presence in the area as the investigation continues.
