CHARGES LAID AFTER BREAK AND ENTER

(KENORA DISTRICT, ON) - The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual after responding to a break and enter.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, shortly after 11:00 pm CT, officers responded to a break and enter call for service at a cabin on Pistol Lake.
As a result of an investigation, Shandi DIAZ-LOPEZ, 24 years old from Wabaseemoong First Nation, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
