On Monday, June 15, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to Arthur Street Park in the City of St Catharines for reports of animal remains.
Detectives with 1 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) have taken carriage of the investigation and believe the circumstances of the animal remains to be suspicious. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who may have attended the park between Saturday, June 13 and Monday, June 15.
