Update #1 – Second and Third Male Arrested in Armed Home Invasion Investigation – St. Catharines

Detectives with the 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) continue to investigate a home invasion robbery that occurred on March 13, 2026, in the City of St. Catharines.
On March 19, 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service 1 District CIB, Street Crime Unit (SCU) and 1 District CORE (Community Oriented Response and Engagement Unit) arrested 18-year-old Jaden KELLY in the City of Waterloo, with assistance from the Waterloo Regional Police Service Emergency Response Team. KELLY was charged with the following offences:
- Robbery with a Firearm (four counts)
- Forcible Confinement (four counts)
- Break and Enter Dwelling House (two counts)
- Disguised with Intent
- Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
- Mischief Under $5000 (two counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
On April 24, 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service 1 District CIB, SCU, Emergency Task Unit (ETU), and 1 District CORE arrested 18-year-old Osiah HUTCHINSON in the City of Toronto with the assistance of Toronto Police Service. HUTCHINSON was charged with the following offences:
- Robbery with a Firearm (four counts)
- Forcible Confinement (four counts)
- Break and Enter Dwelling House (two counts)
- Disguised with Intent
- Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
- Mischief Under $5000 (two counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
KELLY and HUTCHINSON both attended a bail hearing and remain in custody.
