AN UNLICENCE DRIVER IS CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING

(SUDBURY, ON) - One driver was charged with no licence and stunt driving.
On Friday June 12, 2026, at approximately 10:50 pm, the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle traveling greater than the posted speed limit, on Regional Road 55, in the City of Greater Sudbury.
The vehicle was travelling at a speed of 134 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a posted 80 km/h zone.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old driver, from Whitefish, was charged with, drive motor vehicle - no licence and speeding and drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the fall of 2026, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 30 day Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
