DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING FROM POLICE

(SOUTH HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Huron resident with criminal driving offences following an incident on February 02, 2026, in the Municipality of South Huron.
Just after 7:20 pm on Monday, February 02, 2026, Huron County OPP officers attempted to stop a pickup truck on Main Street South in Exeter. The driver was known to police and failed to stop, fleeing in the vehicle. Police later located the suspect at a residence and placed them under arrest.
The accused was charged under the Criminal Code as follows:
Patrick ALBISTON, 29 years-of-age from South Huron has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation, - Fail to Stop for Police, - Flight from Peace Officer
The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on March 23rd, 2026.
