HURONIA WEST OPP INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS PERSON APPROACHING A CHILD

(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating reports of a suspicious person approaching a child.
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, the Huronia West OPP received a report of a suspicious person on Brock Street in Stayner.
Investigators learned that on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, between the hours of 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm, an unknown male approached a child in their yard and engaged in conversation, during which, he invited the child to attend a park with him and advised not tell anyone about the request.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- In 40’s (age)
- Tall
- Dark hair
- Wearing ballcap and sunglasses
An OPP forensic artist has created the attached composite sketch to help identify the individual police are looking to speak with.
