Second Arrest, Charges Laid
(WASAGA BEACH, ON) - The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a second male with arson as a result of further investigation into a residential fire.
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, at approximately 3:20 am, members of the Huronia West OPP and local emergency services personnel responded to a structure fire on Mosely Street, near 21st Street North, in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
On Wednesday, July 9, 2026, Thines JEYARATNAM, 38-years-old from Markham, was arrested and charged with arson, contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, Ontario on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
