Surveillance Footage Can Be Submitted Through Barcode
(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the individuals involved in multiple Pride Flag mischief and theft incidents in Norwich Township.
Since June 1, 2026, there have been multiple incidents reported to the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in relation to the theft of or damage to Pride flags.
Members of Oxford OPP along with West Region Major Crime and West Region Community Street Crime Units are continuing to investigate these incidents.
Oxford OPP has established a secure method for members of the public to submit photos or videos of people or vehicles they believe may be involved with these incidents.
Investigators are seeking to gather video surveillance footage of suspicious activities in Norwich Township between June 1, 2026, to present. Police are looking for evidence of suspicious people or vehicles between the hours of 9:00 pm, and 6:00 am, in the vicinity of Emily Stowe School, Norwich United Church, East Oxford Public School. Stover Street North and Jerdon Street.
The OPP urges community members to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activity to police.
