OPP Seeking Assistance in Identifying the Individuals Responsible
(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A metal flagpole has been cut down, and a Pride flag has been stolen in the Township of Norwich.
On June 7, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford detachment, were notified of a mischief to a flagpole and the theft of a recently replaced Pride flag at Emily Stowe Public School in Norwich.
At approximately 10:30 pm, on Saturday June 6, 2026, two unknown suspects attended a school on Jerdon Street in Norwich. The two individuals cut down a metal flagpole, removed a rainbow Pride flag from the flagpole and fled the scene towards Stover Street.
The two individuals are being described as white males, appearing to be in their late teens or early twenties. One individual is being described as having a thin build and was wearing a light-coloured shirt, blue shorts and dark-coloured boots. The second individual is being described as having a thin build and was wearing a light-coloured hat, a black T-shirt and blue pants.
