SAME DRIVER INVOLVED IN TWO CRASHES UNDER INVESTIGATION
One Individual Arrested, One Individual Still Outstanding
(INGERSOLL, ON) - On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 8:15 am, officers from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Foldens Line. One of the vehicles fled the scene, drove dangerously into the Town of Ingersoll and subsequently crashed into a residence on Charles Street West.
The investigation was assisted by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and OPP Canine Unit.
A second occupant from the vehicle, Olivia MYERS, a 23-year-old resident of North York attempted to flee the second scene on foot, when they were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There Was a Prohibited/Restricted Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
The accused is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
Oxford OPP continues to seek the public’s assistance in locating the other occupant of the vehicle. Residents, businesses and drivers in the area at that time of the collisions are asked to check their security systems, doorbell cameras, and dashcams for possible footage of the individual.
The individual is described as: a black male, slim build in their late 20s to early 30s wearing a t-shirt and dark jogging suit. They may not be wearing shoes.
