RIDE PROGRAM STOPS ANOTHER IMPAIRED DRIVER

(TILLSONBURG) - A Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check, in the Town of Tillsonburg, stopped another impaired driver from driving any farther on Oxford County roads.
On July 13, 2026, at approximately 10:40 pm, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were set up on a RIDE program in Tillsonburg when they identified an impaired driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old female resident of Tillsonburg was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on September 1, 2026.
