TWO IMPAIRED DRIVERS TAKEN OFF THE ROAD IN OXFORD COUNTY

(TILLSONBURG, BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) - Two drivers were arrested for impaired driving in Oxford County over the weekend.
On Saturday June 27, 2026, at approximately 1:30 am, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol in the Town of Tillsonburg when they observed a vehicle being driven dangerously on John Pound Road.
As a result of the investigation, Evan LUCE a 36-year-old resident of St. Thomas, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Drive Motor Vehicle Without Proper Rear Lights
- Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
- Fail to Surrender Permit
- Drive Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on August 4, 2026.
On Saturday June 27, 2026, at approximately 5:30 pm, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Township Road 6 in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
The driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by police without incident.
As a result of the investigation, Bradley CHARLTON, a 39-year-old resident of Waterloo, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Fail to Stop After an Accident
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on August 4, 2026.
