THREE CHARGED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP IN HALDIMAND COUNTY

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) - Three individuals are facing charges as a result of a traffic stop investigation.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at approximately 2:40 pm, a member from the Haldimand County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Argyle Street South, Caledonia.
As a result of the investigation approximately 10,000 unmarked cigarettes were seized, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The 35-year-old driver of Stoney Creek, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possess unmarked cigarettes
- Driving while under suspension
- Drive without proper headlights - motor vehicle
Additionally, a 29-year-old individual and a 36-year-old individual, both from Hamilton, have also been charged with:
- Possess unmarked cigarettes
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 2, 2026.
