DRIVER CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING IN BRANT COUNTY

(BRANT, ON) - On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at approximately 1:20 pm, a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway #2 west of Gobles Road in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.
The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately, 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old driver from the town of Paris, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed, - Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to attend Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on the date of July 21, 2026.
