TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO CHARGES

(PELEE ISLAND, ON) - One individual has been charged following a traffic complaint on Pelee Island.
On June 28, 2026, at approximately 8:01 pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint in the area of the ferry docks in the Municipality of Leamington.
Christopher ST. LOUIS, 43-years-old of Kingsville was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on August 14, 2026, to answer to the charges.
