Missing Boater Located Deceased in the Waters of Lake St. Clair
(LAKESHORE, ON) - At approximately 4:35 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, along with the Essex County Marine Units located 38-year-old of Windsor deceased in the waters of Lake St. Clair.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 7:43 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police Lakeshore Detachment responded to an address near the Bell River Marina in the Municipality of Lakeshore for a report of a missing boater.
The overdue boater was last seen struggling in the waters of Lake St. Clair and as a result the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Canadian Coast Guard are currently engaged and searching.
