(ESSEX, ON) - One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Essex.
On July 7, 2026, at approximately 11:24 pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Gore Road near Harrow in the Town of Essex.
Nicholas FISHER, 45-years-old of Harrow was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Dangerous operation
- Failure of refusal to comply with demand
- Resist Peace Officer
- Assault a Peace Officer
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on August 19, 2026, to answer to the charges.
