(PEMBROKE, ON) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual after a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.

On June 20, 2026, just after 3:00 pm, OPP were advised of a traffic complaint on Pembroke St. W. in the City of Pembroke. The vehicle was driving erratically. Police located the vehicle a short time later. The driver was then transported to detachment for further testing.

Kenneth JEFFREY, 52 years old, of Pembroke has been charged with operation while impaired. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 21, 2026.

On June 27, 2026, just after 7:00 am, OPP stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 41 in Laurentian Valley Twp. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Chelsie VIENS, 41 years old, of Laurentian Valley Twp., has been charged with impaired operation as well as multiple Highway Traffic Act offences. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 4, 2026.

Just after 9:30 pm on June 28, 2026, OPP received multiple traffic complaints for a vehicle on Highway 17 in Laurentian Hills Twp. The vehicle was located and as part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized. The driver was then transported to the detachment for further testing.

Lexie FRIDAY, 31 years old, of Gatineau has been charged with impaired operation. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 4, 2026.

Just over an hour later, after 10:30 pm, on June 28, 2026, OPP stopped a vehicle after a notification of the ALPR (Automated License Plate Recognition) for a suspended driver on Bennett Street in the City of Pembroke. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

34-year-old, Phillip HARWOOD, of Pembroke has been charged with impaired operation, operation while prohibited, public mischief, as well as several Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act offences. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 4, 2026.

On June 29, 2026, after 3:30 pm, OPP received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Rantz Road in the Town of Petawawa. Police located the vehicle a short time later. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Laura SNELL, 41 years old, of Pembroke has been charged with impaired operation, possession of a schedule I substance and fail to comply with probation order. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 10, 2026.

Also on June 29, 2026, just before 7:00 pm, OPP received several traffic complaints of a possible impaired driver operating an ATV on Highway 28 in Brudenell-Lyndoch- Raglan Twp. Officers located the ATV, during the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Sidney PEACOCK, 62 years old, of Palmer Rapids has been charged with impaired operation, operation while prohibited, dangerous operation as well as Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act charges. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 4, 2026.

July 3, 2026, just after 4:00 pm, while conducting a RIDE on Arugsburg Road in Bonnechere Valley Township police dealt with one driver and as part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized. The driver was then transported to detachment for further testing.

Lindsey PULLIN, 44 years old, of Eganville has been charged with impaired operation. They were later released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 11, 2026.

On July 6, 2026, just before 1:00 am, UOV OPP received calls about a possible impaired driver located in a parking lot on John Street in the city of Pembroke. OPP arrived and the driver was located and transported to detachment for testing.

Scott HOWLETT, 30 years old, of Pembroke has been charged with operation while impaired as well as two counts of possession of a schedule I substance. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 18, 2026.

The accused had their driver’s licences suspended for 90 days and the vehicle towed and impounded for seven days. The incidents where there are charges of Driving while prohibited the vehicles are impounded for 45 days.
